Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry 0620 is the chemistry qualification most international and private schools in Malaysia teach, examined by Cambridge International. Students sit three papers: a multiple-choice paper, a theory paper, and a practical-skills paper (usually Paper 6, Alternative to Practical). It's typically taken in Year 10–11 and is the standard route into A Level or pre-university science.

Extended (Papers 2 and 4) allows grades A* to E; Core (Papers 1 and 3) caps the grade at C by design. If your child is targeting a B or above and can handle the Supplement content, Extended is usually the right call; Core suits students who need a secure pass without the harder material. If you're unsure, the trial lesson doubles as a diagnostic and your child's tutor will give an honest recommendation.

It is all we do. Every lesson maps to the 0620 syllabus and its three assessment components: multiple choice, theory, and practical or alternative-to-practical.

Same syllabus, same papers. 0971 is the version graded 9-1 instead of A*-G. Everything we teach applies identically; tell us which code your school uses so we report progress in the right grading scale.

Cambridge examines 0620 in two series a year: May/June and Oct/Nov. The Feb/March series is India-only. Results release in August for the June series and January for the November series.

Yes. Core students (Papers 1, 3, 5 or 6, graded C to G) and Extended students (Papers 2, 4, 5 or 6, targeting A* to E) get separate lesson plans matched to their route.
