Frequently Asked Questions
The questions Malaysian parents and students ask most about online Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry 0620 tutoring. Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp and a person replies the same day.
Tutoring, pricing and how it works
How much does IGCSE Chemistry tutoring cost?
RM80 per hour, in 1.5-hour classes (RM120 per class). One transparent rate, no packages to decode. Your first class, a full 1-hour lesson, is free.
Are classes really 1-to-1?
Always. One tutor, one student, the whole class. There are no small groups sold as personal attention.
Who teaches the classes?
A handpicked Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry specialist. Rig vets every tutor on syllabus knowledge and mark-scheme accuracy, observes their trial lessons, and matches each student personally.
How are classes delivered online?
Live on Zoom or Google Meet with a shared digital whiteboard. The tutor teaches, works 0620 past-paper questions with your child, and sends annotated notes after class.
The free trial
Is the free trial really a lesson, not a sales call?
Yes. A Chemistry specialist teaches your child for a full hour on a real 0620 topic. You see exactly how classes run before paying anything. Every new student starts this way because the fit matters.
What happens after the trial?
You get an honest written assessment of your child's level, the gaps, and a realistic target grade. There is no obligation to continue. If the tutor is not the right fit, we rematch.
Exams and the 0620 syllabus
Do you follow the Cambridge 0620 syllabus exactly?
It is all we do. Every lesson maps to the 0620 syllabus and its three assessment components: multiple choice, theory, and practical or alternative-to-practical.
My child's school does IGCSE Chemistry 0971, not 0620. Is that the same?
Same syllabus, same papers. 0971 is the version graded 9-1 instead of A*-G. Everything we teach applies identically; tell us which code your school uses so we report progress in the right grading scale.
When are the IGCSE Chemistry exams?
Cambridge examines 0620 in two series a year: May/June and Oct/Nov. The Feb/March series is India-only. Results release in August for the June series and January for the November series.
Do you teach both Core and Extended?
Yes. Core students (Papers 1, 3, 5 or 6, graded C to G) and Extended students (Papers 2, 4, 5 or 6, targeting A* to E) get separate lesson plans matched to their route.
Getting started and logistics
We are not in KL. Can you still teach us?
Yes. Classes are fully online, so we teach students anywhere in Malaysia, plus Malaysian students overseas. All you need is a laptop and stable internet.
How do we book?
Message us on WhatsApp. Tell us your child's year, school, and whether they take Core or Extended, and we arrange the free trial. There are no forms.
Where are your Chemistry results?
Published on the results page as exam series complete. The Chemistry arm is newer than Rig's 8+ years of Math results, so we publish chemistry grades as students earn them rather than borrowing claims.
