Editorial Policy

Scope

The resource library focuses on Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry 0620 (2026–2028). It supports Year 10 and Year 11 students taking Core or Extended and covers topic knowledge, calculations, examination technique and practical skills.

Source hierarchy

Where sources disagree, we use the highest available source in this order:

1. The current official Cambridge syllabus for the student's examination year.
2. Current official specimen papers, mark schemes and published assessment materials.
3. Official examiner reports and Cambridge support material available to the public.
4. Established Chemistry references for underlying scientific facts.
5. Teaching explanations developed for clarity and checked against the sources above.

Core and Supplement labelling

A page can contain Core material, Supplement material or both. We do not assume that one label accurately describes every section. Mixed pages should identify the tier at section level so Core students know what is required and Extended students can see the additional depth.

Teacher information

The named Chemistry teaching team includes K. S. Tan, with 15+ years teaching IGCSE Chemistry, and Ms Yash, with 10+ years teaching IGCSE Chemistry. We publish only the experience details supplied for them. We do not add degrees, examiner status, school appointments or student results unless those facts are separately verified.

Being named as part of the teaching team does not automatically mean a teacher wrote or formally reviewed every article. A page will only use a specific “written by” or “reviewed by” credit where that work has actually occurred and can be documented.

Founder information

Rig's teaching background is in IGCSE and SPM Math and Add Math. It is not presented as a Chemistry teaching record. His role is founder, service lead and tutor-matching lead; Chemistry lessons are taught by the Chemistry team.

Results and testimonials

Chemistry results and testimonials must come from Chemistry students or parents and be published with permission. Math testimonials remain clearly labelled as Math. We do not create composite students, rewrite outcomes to sound stronger or borrow results from a different subject.

Pricing and trial terms

Pricing and trial information are maintained in one central configuration source. The current offer is RM80-90 per hour depending on the assigned tutor, normal classes of 1.5 hours, and a compulsory paid one-hour trial lesson at the assigned tutor's hourly rate. There is no package commitment after the trial.

Original questions and copyrighted examination material

We may discuss official papers by session, component, variant and question number, but we do not republish complete copyrighted examination papers as our own content. Practice banks use original questions, original explanations and links to legitimate official resources where appropriate.

Updates

Pages display a last-updated date. A date should change only when the page receives a substantive factual, syllabus, structural or teaching improvement, not merely to make it look fresh. When Cambridge publishes a new syllabus cycle, pages are reviewed against the version applicable to the examination year.

Corrections

When an error is identified, we correct the affected page, check related pages for the same issue and update the content-integrity rules where a recurring contradiction can be detected automatically. Readers can report a suspected error through the site's WhatsApp contact, including the URL and the exact sentence in question.

What this policy does not claim

It does not claim Cambridge endorsement, examiner status, guaranteed grades or formal review of every page by every teacher. It documents the standard the site is working to and the distinctions we preserve so parents and students can judge the information accurately.
