Free 1-Hour Trial · Compulsory for Every New Student
The Free IGCSE Chemistry Trial: See What RM80/hr Buys Before You Pay a Ringgit
Every new student starts with a free 1-hour lesson taught by their matched Chemistry specialist. Not a demo video. Not a sales call. A real lesson, followed by an honest written assessment of your child's level, gaps, and realistic target grade.
No forms. We reply the same day. Trial usually within the week.
What Happens in the Hour
Your child chooses: a real lesson on a topic they pick, or a diagnostic on their weakest area. Either way, it runs exactly like a paid class: Zoom or Meet, shared digital whiteboard, real 0620 past-paper questions.
Option 1: a lesson on their chosen topic
Struggling with mole calculations, electrolysis, or organic chemistry? The tutor teaches that exact topic for the hour, mapped to the 0620 syllabus, finishing with past-paper questions marked live against the real mark scheme.
Option 2: a diagnostic on the weakest areas
Not sure where the problems are? The tutor works through targeted 0620 questions across the syllabus, watches how your child answers, and pinpoints exactly which topics (and which exam skills) are costing marks.
What You Get Afterwards
Within a day of the trial, you receive an honest assessment on WhatsApp:
- 1
Current level. Where your child actually stands against the 0620 standard. Not flattery, not fear.
- 2
The gaps. The specific topics and exam skills losing marks, and which papers they affect.
- 3
A realistic target grade. What's achievable by the exam date (May/June or Oct/Nov) given the starting point and time left.
- 4
A recommended plan. Classes per week, the order the gaps get fixed, and when past-paper drilling starts.
Then the decision is yours. Zero obligation. If your child doesn't need a tutor, the assessment says so, and you keep it either way.
The worst case is a free chemistry lesson
Book it, watch the hour, read the assessment. If it's not for you, you've spent nothing and learned exactly where your child stands. If it is, classes start at RM80/hr with no registration fee.
Why Every Student Starts With the Free Trial. No Exceptions.
Because fit decides results. A tutor can be excellent on paper and still be the wrong match for a quiet Year 10 student, or a Year 11 student eight weeks from the exam. The trial exposes that mismatch before any money moves, when fixing it costs nothing.
We'd rather lose a booking than mismatch a student. A parent who pays for a month of wrong-fit classes leaves unhappy and tells other parents. A parent whose trial revealed the mismatch, and got an honest rematch or an honest "you don't need us", trusts the next recommendation. That trade has paid for itself across Rig's 8+ years of teaching.

Questions parents ask before booking the trial
Is the free trial really free? What's the catch?
Completely free: a full 1-hour lesson with a vetted Chemistry specialist, plus a written assessment afterwards. The 'catch' is ours to carry: if the lesson doesn't convince you, we've spent an hour and earned nothing. That's the point.
Can we skip the trial and just start paid classes?
No. Every student starts with the trial, even if you're ready to pay today. Fit between tutor and student decides results, and we'd rather lose a booking than mismatch a student and find out a month in.
Is the trial a sales call?
No. There's no presentation and no pressure script. A specialist teaches chemistry for an hour. The only 'pitch' is the lesson itself.
Can my child pick the topic for the trial?
Yes. Most pick their weakest topic; mole calculations and electrolysis are the usual choices. If they're not sure, the tutor runs a diagnostic on past-paper questions to find the gaps.
How fast can we get the trial?
WhatsApp us today, we reply the same day, and the trial usually runs within the week. Year 11 students close to an exam series get priority slots.
What if the tutor isn't the right fit?
Tell us honestly. We rematch your child with a different specialist for a second free trial, or we part ways. No payment has been made, so there's nothing to unwind.
Your child could have this lesson before the weekend
One message. Same-day reply. A free hour with a Chemistry specialist and an honest assessment you keep either way. That's the entire commitment.
